Antonie Philips van Leeuwenhoek (24th Oct, 1632 – 26th Aug, 1723) is known as 'The Father of Microbiology'. He was known so because of his contributions towards the establishment of microbiology. He was scientist from Delft, Netherlands and is considered to be 'The First Microbiologist in the World'
